Cain Dressel (カイン・ドレッセル Kain Doresseru ) is the commander of the Dorssia Military Pact Federation and the main antagonist of the series.
Personality
Cain is a cold and calculating man with great strength and wit that surpasses even L-elf's. He is a Magius like Haruto and the other Valvrave pilots but has much more power as shown in the end of episode 12 when L-elf and Haruto stared in shock at the fact that he survived an intense attack given by Valvrave I.
Relationships
L-elf
Cain is the one who trained L-elf when he was still a member of the Dorssian army. He taught L-elf everything he knows now. In episode 12, it is shown that even though L-elf was the strongest Dorssian soldier, Cain's strength and wit surpassed even his. He calls L-elf his "Greatest Creation" referring to the fact that he was the best soldier he ever trained. When A-drei met with Cain to talk discuss the plans for their next mission he said that he would only give one more chance to him to convince and or force L-elf to return to Dorssia. It seems that there may be a possibility that Cain may have had a small soft spot for L-elf before he became a member of the JIOR side. Any chance of it still existing now is unknown.
History
After receiving confirmation from L-elf about JIOR secretly developing the Valvrave mecha in their Dyson Sphere, he tells Kriemhild to send the message back to the homeland and orders the invasion of JIOR. (Season 1: "The Revolutionary Transfer Student") He has a mark on his neck that is related to the Valvrave, and apparently knows something about the source of the Valvrave's power. He seems to know about the said to be nonoperational Valvrave II. In Season two, it is shown that he has been a member of the Magius for 10 years, the mysterious organization that runs the show from the shadows. He is similar to Haruto and his friends but has other powers such as generating a green aura that allows him to fly and protects him. He also is able to pilot Valvrave II using the OS "Prue" a being similar to the one in Valvrave I.
He is believed to have murdered H-neun.
